Monitor tests

Not sure if you are seeing what everyone else is seeing?  The two simple images below can be used to verify that what you are seeing on your monitor matches what is being displayed by your computer. In more basic terms, it will tell you if the brain of your computer system is communicating correctly with the eyes of your monitor.

1. The Square Test

The red outline image below is square with dimensions of 388 x 388 pixels.  It is a monitor test which enables verification that screen resolution settings on an individual monitor accurately display what is pictured on screen.  The rulers around the outside of the image are computer measurement tools.

2. The Circle Test

As in the square test, the red outline image below is a circle with dimensions of 388 x 388 pixels.  Sometimes circles are easier to see than squares. It is another monitor test which enables verification that screen resolution setting on an individual monitor accurately display what is pictured on screen.  The rulers around the outside of the image are computer measurement tools.

3. Correcting the problem

If the square doesn't look like a square and the circle doesn't look like a circle, screen resolution settings may be the problem.  They can be adjusted to correct the problem.  Not sure how to do that?  It's easy, and both Microsoft and Apple provide help, or instructions can be located by using the Help on your own computer.
