Yes, if you remember some of these
designs from dog shows in the 1990's
these are the painted shirts that
Argostar is known for. Many people
who purchased then have become long time
customers and friends, still wearing
shirts that were created during that
time. The designs are now
available only by order.

Important to Note about the hand
painted designs:
Due to the nature of the materials used
in the creation of the hand painted
designs, they do not photograph well.
Reflection from the dimensional nature
of the paint and the sparkle and shine
of the glitter designs limit the ability
to demonstrate the beauty of the actual
garment. The photos are intended to be
previews only and those of you who have
seen them, other than on the Internet,
can attest that they are much clearer
and brighter than portrayed.
The main body of the large objects
(dogs and other major object within
the design) are individually drawn
and cut from pieces of fabric.
These images are then fused on to
the article to be decorated and
details are painted with fabric
paint, making the items washable.
It is a lengthy process, with each
item taking approximately two or
more hours to complete, depending
upon complexity.
The next obvious question is
"But can they be
washed????"
Yes, they are easy to wash.
Turn the item inside out and
place in the washing machine,
using gentle cycle/warm water.
To dry, leave the item inside
out and place in the dryer using
low heat or air dry. Do
not use cold water as it has
a tendency to make the fabric
paint brittle (think of the
properties of taffy -- pliable
when warm, but brittle and
breakable when cold). Cold
water is the single most
destructive factor effecting the
longevity of fabric paint. By
the same token, if your garment
is very cold and portions of the
design are stiff from being
folded, allow it time to warm
rather than forcing the paint.
It only takes a few minutes in
room temperature for the paint
to become pliable again.
By following these instructions,
you will assure the long life of
your custom design.
All animals are available for
custom designs.
Mixed breed or rare breed pets
can be done using your photo as
a guide (photos may be emailed).
People do not portray well in
this medium. More than one
breed (or animal) can be
portrayed in a single design.
*Designs include up to 3
animals or major objects.
Additional animals or objects
may be added at the cost of $10
each. Major objects
include items such as cars,
couches, desks, and most
large/complex items which use
fabric as the base of the
design. Small/simple
objects such as balloons or
small pumpkins may be included
at no charge. Please keep
in mind that the more complex
the design becomes, the smaller
the objects will be.

Because of the custom
nature of each hand
painted design, it is
necessary to
obtain a quote
before ordering. Your
specific instructions
can then be discussed to
make the design a unique
and individual work of
art and an invoice can
be sent to complete your
order. |

to the custom nature of the hand
painted designs, there are no
returns. Please be sure to
refer
to the size charts
to insure
that you order for the best
possible fit.

animals may be substituted with similar themes.
Hand painted designs are mainly either whimsical or
flashy.
