I don't like cost surprises and don't expect you to
like them
either. For this reason, as much as possible, the
following guidelines to logo pricing will answer most
questions. There may be variables in your
particular work if you want something that is not
addressed here or if there is a way to make the cost
more economical for you. I am available to answer
your questions or concerns. No logo project is
undertaken without a quote and agreement on the
individual project before the work is begun. As
the individual or organization that commissions the
work, you will always have the option to add something
to the project. If it is something that will
increase the original quote, your permission is required
in writing before proceeding. Good communication
always results in the best possible outcome. |

Pricing for Personal Logos |
|
Elements are defined
as a major piece of the project, such as individual dog or
horse. If the element is a very minor piece of the work,
such as a single small butterfly (example),
it can sometimes be included at no additional charge.
Manipulated text is defined as that which becomes a major piece
of the logo, such as large gradient initials which combine with
other text to become a major piece of the logo (example). |

Pricing for Commercial Logos |
|
Exclusive marketing rights are included with commercial logos
for reproduction and sale of items produced with the
commissioned art work. Commercial logos are delivered as
one combined image unless the option for separate, individual
elements is desired. Manipulated text is defined as that
which becomes a major piece of the logo, such as large gradient
initials which combine with other text to become a major piece
of the logo (example). |

All logos will be
given a specific quote before beginning the work so that all
parties are clear on the budget for the project. A non
refundable deposit of one half of the anticipated total is
due to begin the logo work. The balance is due upon
approval of the final, but before delivery. Ownership
and. marketing license, if applicable, of the logo will be
conveyed upon payment of the balance.
Finished logos
are delivered in several digital file formats on CD to insure the best quality of
direct reproduction.
*1 If hard copies are also desired,
the option is available as printed copies of the combined
logo in full, medium, and small size. Hard copies are
never the best form for reproduction.
